Seaborn Prowess
Unmatched speed and superior design elements
distinguish this 161-foot mega-yacht.

By William Kennedy

Built in 2005 by Trinity Yachts and designed by Evan Marshall, this 161-foot high speed tri-deck aluminum motoryacht is the fastest conventionally powered semi-displacement yacht of her size ever built in the United States, and the first to be powered by new high displacement engines from Caterpillar.

The yacht is capable of a maximum speed of 26 knots at trial load and a cruise speed of 21 knots, and can accommodate an owner’s party of ten in five spaciously planned and exquisitely designed staterooms.

The enormous 14-foot swim platform is equipped with sockets for two giant sun umbrellas, and provides the ideal location for waterside dining, as well as a tender landing. The pilothouse deck consists mainly of the massive alfresco dining deck, with enough room for a large entertainment saloon with bar, gaming table and entertainment center. A marble floored foyer with a day head is located adjacent to the captain’s accommodations. The generous 27-foot long aft deck on the pilothouse level can accommodate ten diners in comfort.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Sun Deck: Many features, including a bar with icemaker, refrigerator, sink and seating for four, located beneath the radar arch. Opposite the bar, on the port side, is a BBQ and storage area located aft of an L-shaped settee for ten that faces the Jacuzzi, which is situated at the forward end of the sun deck.

Aft Boat Deck: Houses a crane to deploy a large tender and the waverunners.
Bridge /deck: The sky lounge is full beam and provides a bar that is easily accessible from the outdoor dining and entertainment areas.

Main Deck: The combined bar and dining area make for a more open, social space. There is no usual bulkhead to separate the dining and saloon areas, with classic support columns added in place of this, as well as a reinforced outboard structure and overhead deck span to compensate for the bulkhead support.

PURCHASE PRICE: On request.
CHARTER RATE: $210,000 to $245,000

Shown here is the main salon. There are three external dining areas, along with an interior dining room on the main deck, shown below. Moving down a level, the main cockpit deck is 18 feet long and has another dining area for ten. Two staircases lead to the 11-foot sunbathing platform onboard.

The full-beam split-level master suite has forward facing vertical windows with panoramic views, and more than nine feet of headroom, which was created by reducing the depth of the Portuguese walkway above. The ceiling is appointed in crème leather with wooden trimmed coffers and a gold leaf backdrop.

The master stateroom has a seating area and luxuriously designed en-suite His and Hers bathrooms, featuring a marble Jacuzzi tub for Her equipped with gold and glass Lalique taps and large marble shower/steam bath for Him. Entering through the starboard marble foyer with gold-leafed ceilings, double doors lead through a hallway with cedar walk-in wardrobes to either side, to an owner’s office with starboard views through the vertical windows.
