Since its founding in 1837 by James Brown, sophistication and classic English style have been the hallmarks of the legendary Brown's Hotel. Its elegant accomodations, impeccable service and unbeatable location in the heart of Mayfair have made it the hotel of choice for numerous dignitaries and European royalty.

Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt honeymooned at Brown's. Rudyard Kipling wrote “The Jungle Book” during his numerous stays. Now celebrating its 170th anniversary, the grande dame of Mayfair has attained an even higher level of excellence thanks to a £24 million restoration undertaken by its new owner, celebrated hotelier Sir Rocco Forte of The Rocco Forte Collection.

Olga Polizzi, Rocco Forte's director of design, has brilliantly reinvented the 117 bedrooms and suites without sacrificing any of Brown's refined English charm. All rooms have been enlarged and feature luxurious design touches such as angora throws, limestone bathrooms, hardwood floors and lovely artwork. While guests will enjoy state-of-the-art technology, including flat-screen TVs, high-speed Internet access, and Bose iPod docking stations, they will also appreciate the attention to small details evident in the well-edited selection of books and fresh cut flowers found in each guest room. The twenty nine magnificent suites are the ultimate in luxury, each boasting its own distinct decor and wonderful views of Mayfair.

Brown's famous restaurants offer some of London's finest dining venues. The Grill, renowned for its daily carving trolley offers a delicate balance of traditional English fare with a contemporary, continental twist in a room that still features its original wood paneling. The English Tea Room serves one of the most famous afternoon teas in London, offering succulent finger sandwiches, luscious pastries and a choice of nineteen teas.

A fully equipped gym and a new spa offering a wide range of treatments using Carita and Natura Bisse products are also available.

With its emphasis on comfort, service and privacy, Brown's will be your home away from home when visiting London.
