The Coalition for the Homeless held its 11th ARTWALK NY at Sotheby’s. The event, which included live and silent auctions featuring works by artists Brice Marden and Ed Ruscha, among others, raised $635,000. Citymeals-on-Wheels honored Bobbi Brown, Janet Sainer and Diane von Furstenberg at the 19th annual Power Lunch for Women held at the Rainbow Room. The Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club’s fifth annual Holiday Wonders benefit raised $50,000 to support after-school enrichment and youth development programs. Carolina Herrera hosted the Grand Classics: Films With Style screening at the SoHo House of the classic British film Waterloo Bridge to benefit the British Film Institute. The Big Apple Circus honored founding chairman Alan B. Slifka at its opening-night gala held under the Big Top in Damrosch Park at Lincoln Center.

More than 600 guests celebrated The Westchester Arts Council’s 40th Anniversary with a spectacular gala held at 800 Westchester Avenue in Rye Brook. The Inner-City Foundation for Charity & Education raised $2.6 million to benefit its programs at a gala held at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich, CT. Caramoor’s elegant Venetian Theater was the setting for the Caramoor Fall Antiques Show preview party benefiting The Caramoor Garden Guild. The Neuberger Museum in Purchase, NY, honored eminent art historian Irving Sandler at its annual gala. The Northern Westchester Hospital Gala raised $2.6 million to benefit a planned new Emergency Department at the hospital in Mount Kisco. Jazz guitar legends John and Bucky Pizzarelli wowed a crowed of over 700 partygoers at The Westport Arts Center annual Gala in Westport, CT. The Westchester Philharmonic kicked off its Almost All Amadeus season with a gala honoring longtime supporters Paula and Edwin Schmerler and the PepsiCo Foundation at the Performing Arts Center at Purchase. Rising Metropolitan opera star Angela Brown captivated an audience of more than 400 supporters at Family ReEntry’s Garden Cabaret held at Bydale, the historic Greenwich home of Joan Warburg.
