Sound Shore Medical Center of Westchester recently celebrated its annual Autumn Gala at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC. Sound Shore president and CEO John R. Spicer and Board of Governors chairman Lawrence J. Ruisi were in attendance.

The Breast Cancer Alliance raised over $1,400,000 at its Annual Benefit Luncheon held at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich and co-sponsored by Neiman Marcus White Plains. Proceeds from the luncheon, attended by more than 800 guests, will fund research projects, investigator grants and outreach programs. Carolyn Deal, president of William Raveis Real Estate & Home Services, presented a check for $100,000 to Alliance executive director Mary Ann Henry. Attendees included Sir Paul Nurse, president of Rockefeller University, Alliance president Carol Santora and 2004 Breast Cancer Alliance grant recipient Sebastien Pfeffer of Rockefeller University.
