She worked from 1973-1988 at The First Boston Corporation, where she became a Managing Director and Head of the Capital Markets and Short-Term Finance Departments, and from 1989-1992 at Wasserstein Perella & Co., Inc. as a Managing Director.  From 1992-1996, Ms. Einiger served as Chief Financial Officer and then Acting President of the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation.  Beginning in 1996, she served for nine years as Chief Investment Officer of The Rockefeller University until establishing Post Rock Advisors in 2005.
