Background: Gaston joined Verizon in 1984 and has held a variety of management positions in operations, marketing, human resources, strategic planning and government relations. Prior to his appointment at the Foundation, Gaston was Verizon's executive director for strategic alliances in Washington, D.C.
Gaston is a member of the NAACP Board of Trustees and Generations United, the National Latino Children's Institute, America's Charities, the Foundation of the University of West Indies, and the World Institute on Disability. He is also a Fellow at the Aspen Institute.
