Noche Latina at the Metropolitan Opera House.

American
Ballet Theatre (ABT) hosted “Noche Latina,” a
celebration of the company’s Spanish and Latin American dancers
on June 10 at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York. ABT’s
Spanish and Latin American principal dancers appeared on stage
together for a special performance of Don Quixote. Carolina
Herrera and former ABT principal dancer Julio
Bocca were honored with the inaugural Fernando Bujones
Award. The event raised $220,000 for ABT.
Mrs. J. Pepe Fanjul and Tara Milne were
event co-chairs. Alberto Barral, Vivian Barral Chambers,
Christian Cota, Jacqueline Weld Drake, Nina Garcia, Anne and Mario
Grauso, Judith Hoffman, Madeline Eckett Oden, Manuel Puig, Narciso
Rodriguez and Angel Sanchez were event
vice-chairs.
