**Macbeth: The Benefit at BAM**

On February 12, Brooklyn Academy of Music held Macbeth: The Benefit. The evening began with cocktails and dinner onstage at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House and was followed by a performance of the award-winning Chichester Festival Theatre production of Shakespeare's Macbeth directed by Rupert Goold and featuring Patrick Stewart at the Harvey Theater. The evening concluded with a post-performance dessert reception with the cast at the BAM Howard Gilman Opera House stage. Diane and Adam E. Max and Alan Rappaport, New York president of Bank of America, served as Benefit chairs; Annie Leibovitz was Friends of BAM chair; Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard were BAM Cinema Club chairs.
