The
Women's Association and The Governing Members
of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO) held
their 3rd Bi-Annual Auction Party on June 23. This
party has become an important fund raiser for the Orchestra
and the proceeds benefit the Symphony and its many
musical, outreach and educational programs.
This year, the event was held at an architecturally
significant home with magnificent gardens in Winnetka,
Illinois that also housed a fine art collection. A
tent was erected for the party in the ‘lush' gardens
of the home. The tent added additional summer
decor as it was draped in magenta, citrus and tangerine
silk. The dining tables centerpieces were contemporary
and filled with mango roses, orchids and ginger that
complemented the home's 20th century paintings
and sculpture.
Chairing the Auction Party were Susan Heisler and Dora
Aalbregtse. Guests included Joseph and
Women's Association president, Judy Konen, Van
Cleef & Arpel's Romana Malinowski, Mitzi and Cyrus
Freidheim, Shelley and Chester
Gougis, Nancy and Don
Kempf , Gloria and Robert
Turner, Susan Stein , Ellen and David
Abell, Willie and Bill
