On
October 30, The New York City Opera,
Stuart Weitzman, and ELLE Magazine hosted
an evening of cocktails and arias at the Time Warner
Center celebrating City Opera's new production
of Cendrillon and the second year of Maestro,
the company's Young Patron program. Launched
in 2006, Maestro is a group for young professionals
who love opera and support City Opera programs and
events.
Co-hosted byJane Weitzman,
EVP of Stuart Weitzman; Roberta Myers,
editor-in-chief of ELLE; and Jane
M. Gullong, executive director of New York
City Opera, the event showcased arias from City Opera's
upcoming production Cendrillon by Jules
Massenet. Arias from Cendrillon and
other operatic masterpieces were performed by New York
City Opera artists Ariana Chris, mezzo-soprano,
and Eric Margiore, tenor.
