The Dia Art Foundation held its annual Fall Gala on November 12 in New York City. Cocktails were held at the Hispanic Society of America and were followed by a dinner at The Church of the Intercession. The event raised over $700,000 for Dia's exhibitions and programs. Co-chairs were Cindy and Howard Rachofsky, Sir Evelyn and Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild, and Kelly Behun Sugarman and Jay Sugarman.

The 2007 Fall Gala celebrates Dia Art Foundation's commitment to initiating, supporting, presenting, and preserving extraordinary art projects. Dia presents public programs and its permanent collection of works from the 1960s through the present at Dia:Beacon, Riggio Galleries, in New York's Hudson Valley, and maintains long-term, site-specific installations in the western Untied States, in New York, and on Long Island. 2007 also marks the 30th anniversary of two of Dia's earliest projects, The New York Earth
Room and The Lighning Field, by Walter De Maria.

In Manhattan, Dia is currently presenting Francis Alÿs, Fabiola, the first of three contemporary commissions for the Hispanic Society of America. This collaboration provides an interim site for Dia's renowned contemporary art and educational programs in New York City while it searches for a new home.
