Evan
B. Donaldson Adoption Institute Food & Wine Benefit
Honoree Bill Moloney, Dr. Jane Aronson, EBDAI Board member, honoree Christine Ebersole, and Adam Pertman, EBDAI executive director.
At
the Evan B. Donaldson Adoption Institute's fourth
annual "Taste of Spring" benefit in New York City on Wednesday,
May 14 at Midtown Loft in New York, over 200 guests enjoyed great
food, fabulous wines, wonderful music, and each other's company – all
the while learning more about, and supporting, the Institute's
work. The Adoption Institute, founded in 1996, is a unique,
independent national nonprofit that provides leadership that improves
adoption laws, policies and practices – through sound research,
education and advocacy – in order to better the lives of everyone
touched by adoption.
The “Taste of Spring” event raised over $300,000 toward
the Institute's programs, and honored Institute Board president Sandra
D. Kresch, and Tony-award-winning Broadway star Christine
Ebersole and her husband, musician and composer Bill
Moloney, who are adoptive parents. It was co-chaired by
Institute Board members Kim Donaldson, Caroline Fitzgibbons,
and Sandy McManus. The Honorary co-chairs
were Board member Priscilla Newman and her husband, Ron
Cappello, and Institute supporter Roger Kline. The
Institute thanks all the donors and supporters who made the event
a success, especially “Angel Underwriters” Jane and Bill
Donaldson and Jurate Kazickas and Roger
Altman. The featured restaurants were Aquavit, Country,
Fleur de Sel, Ideal Cheese, P*Ong, Yuva, and Zarela.
The featured wine sponsors were Bottlenotes.com, KobrandCorporation,
RO Imports, and Vintage Capital Wine.
