On
June 30, at the Sandacres Estate in Quogue, the annual East
End Hospice summer party attracted over 650
guests for an evening of authentic casino gambling,
music by The Carolyn Leonhart Group, and cuisine by
Starr Boggs. The benefit's Master of Ceremonies
was John Roland. Event chairpersons
were Maureen Dinger and Peggy
Dillmeier.
Mr. and Mrs. John V. Brennan and Mr.
and Mrs. Michael Walsh were honored with
the 7th Annual Dorothy Pell Savage Award for their
overwhelming commitment to East End Hospice and the
community. The Good Samaritan Award was established
by the Board in 2000 in memory of Dorothy P. Savage,
the esteemed humanitarian and founder of East End
Hospice. The award is presented each year to
the individual in the community who demonstrates
such humanitarianism.
All proceeds benefit East End Hospice, a New York
certified hospice, which provides care for terminally
ill patients, their families, and loved ones through
an interdisciplinary team of skilled professionals
and volunteers.
