Broadway, film and television star Kristin Chenoweth brought a crowd of 550 guests to their feet at the Goodman Theatre's 2006 Gala Give Our Regards to Broadway on May 6, at The Fairmont Chicago. The event, one of the most successful in Goodman history, raised $625,000 from sponsorship, ticket sales, raffle proceeds and contributions.

The black-tie evening began with a cocktail reception, followed by Chenoweth's dynamic performance of Broadway show tunes, music directed by Andrew Lippa, including selections from Wicked, Showboat and Candide. The evening continued with an elegant three-course dinner and dancing to the music of Lynne Jordan and the Shivers.

Co-chairs of Give Our Regards to Broadway were Goodman Women's Board member Katherine A. Abelson and Goodman Trustee Richard Weisberg, with Women's Board member Linda Robin as planning chair. Goodman Theatre Board of Trustees chairman is Lester N. Coney and Women's Board president is Susan D. Underwood.

Goodman Theatre, recipient of the Special Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre, is a leader in the American theater and internationally recognized for its artists, productions and education programs. Under the leadership of artistic director Robert Falls and executive director Roche Schulfer, the Goodman is committed to producing classic and contemporary works, giving full voice to a wide range of artists and visions. Central to that mission is the Goodman Artistic Collective, including Frank Galati, Mary Zimmerman, Chuck Smith, Regina Taylor and Henry Godinez.
