On
June 9, the Guardian Angels held their 30th Anniversary Gala sponsored
by the Frey Family Foundation at the Pierre Hotel in New York
City. Simon Bergson, John Catsimatidis, Margo Catsimatidis and
Ed Moldaver were Gala Dinner chairs.
The evening's award recipients were: Barry Kaye received
the Archangel Pinnacle of Achievement Award; Larry Kudlow received
the Guardian Angels Ethical Angel Award, Wayne Chrebet received
The Role Model for Real Life Award, and Dottie Herman received the
Outstanding New Yorker Award.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg paid special tribute to Guardian Angels founder
Curtis Sliwa and presented him with the Key to the City.
Mark Simone was the Master of Ceremonies. Entertainment was provided
by New York City Swing with a special performance by Gloria Gaynor.
