Israel Philharmonic Orchestra Benefit
The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and its longtime music director Zubin Mehta celebrated their 70th birthdays with a benefit evening on February 16. The gala raised $3 million for the renowned orchestra. Co-chaired by Lord Jacob Rothschild, Lily Safra and James Wolfensohn, the gala began with a concert by the Israel Philharmonic and guest soloist Lang Lang at Carnegie Hall and continued with a black-tie dinner at Cipriani 42nd Street.
