More than 850 guests helped raise $2 million for the Inner-City Foundation For Charity & Education at its annual gala held on November 1 at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich, CT. Since 1992, the Foundation has awarded more than $16 million in grants to agencies and institutions whose programs serve the needs of disadvantaged children and adults living in Fairfield County, CT.
Brian Williams, anchor and managing editor of “NBC Nightly News”, was the featured speaker. The co-emcees for the evening were Bob Wright, vice chairman and executive officer of GE, and chairman and CEO of NBC Universal, and Jim Nantz from CBS Sports. Janet and Keith Sherin were the Benefit Committee chairs and were assisted by co-chairs Mollie Callagy, Megan and Larry Foley, Jeanne and Dick Harrington, Leah and Alain Lebec, Bill Mitchell, Janet and Bruce Sargent, Pat Willett, and Suzanne Wright.
