On  February 26, Lincoln Center Institute for the Arts in Education held its Annual Benefit at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.  This year's event paid tribute to Susan and Jack Rudin for their dedication to the arts in education both in their actions and their vision. Ellen Futter, the president of the American Museum of Natural History and past president of Barnard College of Columbia University, accepted the Mark A. Schubart Award in Education.   The Beach Boys performed during the Gala which raised $1.5 million for the arts and education programs of the Institute.

Gala co-chairs were Robin Avram, April S. Flores, Ciara S. Burnham, Gün H. Keresteci, Andrea L. Busser, Julia Stiles, Margaret Hess Chi, Nicholas F. Tcherepnin, and Henry J. Topping, IV.
