On
July 21, LongHouse Reserve hosted
a summer gala evening honoring Yoko Ono for
her creativity and crusade for peace. The gala celebrated
the founder, Jack Lenor Larsen's 80th
year and LongHouse Reserve's 15th Anniversary.
More than 350 guests attended the sold-out gala on
July 21st to celebrate and support the LongHouse Reserve.
Honorary co-chairs for the evening included: Edward
Albee, Bill T. Jones, Mercedes
Ruehl and Cindy Sherman.
Co-chairs for the evening included: Tina-Maria
Birch and Patsy Tarr.
The Summer Gala raised $350,000; all proceeds will support
the LongHouse Reserve's mission to exemplify living
with art in all forms. Through its gallery, arboretum,
sculpture gardens and educational programs, LongHouse
brings together art and nature, aesthetics and spirit,
with a strong conviction that the arts are central to
living wholly and creatively.
