On
Saturday, April 26, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston (MFA)
hosted an elegant Opening Celebration Party for the 32nd
Annual Art in Bloom - the popular
annual festival of flowers that transforms the MFA's galleries
into floral oases of extraordinary arrangements inspired by magnificent
works of art. A spectacular springtime tradition, Art in Bloom brings
approximately 62 New England garden clubs together to create vibrant
floral interpretations of works from the MFA's encyclopedic
collection.
The evening featured a special viewing of the floral arrangements
on display throughout the galleries and included cocktails, hors
d'oeuvres, a springtime supper, as well as lovely gift bags. Music
during the evening was provided by the Calypso/Jazz band Sambita. Art
in Bloom was generously supported by Nordstrom, and co-sponsored
by Staples, Inc.
