The
Museum of Modern Art honored philanthropist Donald
B. Marron and director Mike Nichols at
The Museum of Modern Art's 40th annual Party in the Garden
on June 10. Over 850 guests attended the dinner. They
were joined by an additional 700 guests at the After-Dinner Dance. At
the After-Dinner Dance, DJs were James Murphy and Pat
Mahoney of LCD Soundsystem, and musician M.I.A. gave
a live performance. The event raised $2.7 million.

Party in the Garden is a benefit for MoMA and the maintenance
of The Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden as well as the Museum's
general operating fund, helping to make possible the Museum's educational
programs and the care, study, and exhibition of its collection.
