On Tuesday, February 7, 2012, New York City Ballet held its Annual Luncheon benefit at Lincoln Center. There were over 500 guests in attendance and the event raised over $300,000 for the Company. The topic of this year’s luncheon program was “Iconic Roles – The NYCB Way.” The program featured commentary by principal dancers Robert Fairchild, Sterling Hyltin, and Sara Mearns, and soloist Chase Finlay, moderated by principal dancer Jenifer Ringer. Highlights of the program included archival film footage as well as live dance excerpts from Swan Lake and Romeo & Juliet.

Announced each year as part of the Annual Luncheon is the recipient of The Janice Levin Dancer Award, which was created by NYCB in 2000 and is bestowed upon one of the Company’s most promising corps members. This year’s award was presented to Taylor Stanley. An elegant luncheon on the Promenade of the David H. Koch Theater followed the program.
