On December 7, the New York Botanical Garden held its ninth annual Winter Wonderland Ball.

Praised as "One of the Best Parties of the Year," the Ball attracted a dynamic, high-powered crowd of the young New York elite. Guests enjoyed cocktails while viewing The Holiday Train Show in the Garden's landmark Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, and then went on to dinner and dancing in the adjacent tent. This event raises funds for the renowned children's education programs at the Botanical Garden.

The chairmen were Cristina Cuomo, Nina Garcia, Emma J.P. Goergen, Alex Kramer, Alexandra Lebenthal, Christian Leone, and Molly Sims. The junior chairmen were Byrdie Bell, Alexis Bryan, Martin Dawson, Minnie Mortimer Gaghan, Dalia Oberlander, Gillian Hearst Simonds, and Claiborne Swanson. The founding chairmen were Sloan Barnett, Whitney Fairchild, Pauline Joerger, and Nathalie Kaplan.
