On
January 31, Young New Yorkers for the Philharmonic held
their Mid-Winter’s Eve Gala at the Union
Club in New York City. The evening began
with a concert by the New York Philharmonic at
Avery Fisher Hall. Led by conductor Lorin
Maazel and hosted by Steven Stucky,
the concert featured works by Berio and Brahms.
A gala dinner followed at the Union Club.
Young New Yorkers for the Philharmonic is a vibrant
group of 21 to 40-year-olds who share an interest
in meeting other lovers of symphonic music and expanding
their knowledge and appreciation of classical music,
while playing a vital role in shaping the Orchestra's
future.
