The National Academy School of Fine Arts 8th Annual School Benefit A World in a Frame honored distinguished artist and teacher Will Barnet, NA on November 13. Held in the Academy’s Beaux Arts mansion on Museum Mile, benefit attendees enjoyed the Academy’s live art auction during cocktails and dinner during which Clare Smith, VP, Christie’s, auctioned works donated by National Academicians Will Barnet, Robert Cottingham, Wolf Kahn, Jules Olitski, Philip Pearlstein, and Susan Shatter, PNA. In recognition of the Academy’s mission to promote the instruction and advancement of the fine arts in America, over 90 donated works by National Academicians and school faculty were sold, with proceeds benefiting the School of Fine Art’s programs and scholarships. Gala co-chairs were Linda Arnold, Sharon Korman, Michelle Manolis, Lynn Syms, and Peter Wolf.
