Prior
to the standing ovation Palm Beach Dramaworks received from it's
sold-out opening night audience of Eugene Ionesco's absurdist
masterpiece The Chairs, 100-plus devoted Palm Beach Dramaworks
Premiere Patrons and Season Sponsors were treated to a sumptuous
reception, graciously underwritten by the organization's 2008/2009
Season Opening Night Sponsor, Ann Z Gourmet Catering. The Floral
Emporium enhanced the theatre's dramatic courtyard with towering
palms and larger than life orchids – a setting in which the
Dramaworks Board of Directors and senior staff members welcomed loyal
supporters. The event took place on December 19, 2008 at its
theatre in West Palm Beach.
Some of the honored red carpet guests included: Shelly
Gross and Joan Gross, Mark Perlberg and Diane Perlberg, Elfriede Grevendick,
Lee Havens, Gina Sand, Hap Erstein, Emily Minor, Julia Hansen and Edward
Hansen, Ann Z, Brian McIver and Pamela McIver, Don Silpe and Linda
Silpe, Jim Morrissey and Kay Morrissey, Mia Matthews, Simon Waugh, Peter
Rezzonico and Ann Marie Rezzonico, Bernie Perry and Jane Perry, Sheldon
Caras and Betty Lauer, Sid Lesowitz and Peter Rogers, Terry Liebman
and Ellen Liman, Emanuel Tepper, Peter Emmerich, Jeanne Kanders, Tim
Harris and Michael Bakst, Sean Rooney and Christina Rooney, Chris Bluemer
and Lynn Bluemer, Clive Cholerton and Marjorie Lowe and Chairs director,
J. Barry Lewis.
Palm Beach Dramaworks producing artistic director William
Hayes, managing director Sue Ellen Beryl, company manager Nanique Gheridian
and director of development Steve Caras joined their devoted cast of
patrons in celebrating yet another successful milestone for West Palm
Beach's sole professional theatre company.
