Riverkeeper, the nonprofit
organization dedicated to preserving the Hudson
River and safeguarding New York's drinking
water supply, held their Annual Benefit on April
18 at Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers.
The fundraiser brought in a total of nearly
$2 million, including ticket sales and the
live auction. Darrell Hammond from Saturday
Night Live hosted the event; other notable attendees
who came out to support the organization included Riverkeeper's
Chief Prosecuting Attorney Robert F.
Kennedy Jr., Michael Douglas, Dan Aykroyd,
William Baldwin, Edie Falco, Richard Belzer,
Susie Essman, Moby, Mike Richter, Paul Schaffer, Joy
Behar, Annie Leibovitz, Veronique and Bob
Pittman, Ellen Barkin, Andre Balazs and
Anne Hearst. Entertainment
was provided by Carly Simon and her children
Ben and Sally Taylor.
