On November 29, the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF) held its 10th Annual Collaborating for a Cure Benefit and Auction at the 69th Regiment Armory. This benefit is the second highest grossing charity event gala in New York City raising a record-breaking $5.7 million. This year's event was presented by Elin and Michael Nierenberg and was hosted by Chevy Chase. It featured a special live concert performance by Glenn Frey and Joe Walsh, performing songs of the Eagles and their solo hits along with a silent auction and a live auction led by C. Hugh Hildesley, of Sotheby's.  Other celebrity guests attending were Nick Lachey, Vanessa Minollo, Ileana Douglas, Patti D'Arbanville and son Jesse Johnson.
