The Southampton
Hospital Foundation held the Hospital's 50th
Annual Summer Party, The Golden Gala on Saturday,
August 2. Chaired by Jean Remmel FitzSimmons and
co-chaired by Ann Grimm, the event took place
under the tents on Wickapogue Road in Southampton, NY. The
Golden Anniversary Benefactor was
Brooks Brothers. Chuck Scarborough, veteran NBC
news anchor, was the master of ceremonies. As in past years, the evening will benefit the Hospital's Department
of Emergency Medicine.
Summer Party attendees danced to the music of Alex Donner under
a huge tent transformed by the creativity of Tony Urrutia, and enjoyed
an elegant catered dinner by Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs. Also
featured were the popular silent auction and a raffle of fabulous
and extravagant trips and prizes including a one-week stay in a Paris
apartment, diamond and gold earrings from Buccellati, and handbags
by Valentino, Michael Kors and Ferragamo.
