On
Tuesday, October 13, 2009, a cocktail party was held at Christie's Rockefeller
Center to celebrate the publication of Architectural Digest Top 100 designer
Suzanne Tucker’s first book, Rooms to Remember (The Monacelli Press
).
Guests included: Carolyne Roehm and Simon Pinniger, MaryLynn and Mimi
van Wyck, Amanda McBaine, Lloyd Zuckerberg, Patty Raynes, Bunny Williams
and John Rosselli, Anthony Victoria, Paul Gunther, Tania Valverde, Thomas
Jayne, Bill Diamond, Ed Lobrano, Alex McCord, Krissa Rossbund of Traditional
Home and Jeffrey Simpson of Architectural Digest.
Joining Suzanne, who
was recently named to the national board of the Institute of Classical
Architecture & Classical America, in New York were an array of prominent
San Franciscans, including her husband Timothy Marks, Bay Area mega fund-raiser
Mary Poland, whose husband founded the an Francisco Design Center, the
architect Andrew Skurman and his Parisian wife, Francoise Skurman, philanthropist
Diane Morris, and antiques dealer Collier Gwin. "Michael Taylor" author
Stephen Salny also attended from Baltimore. Eleanor Notides, Christie's
international director of client development, along with William Strafford,
head of European Furniture, and Melissa Gagen, International Specialist
in English Furniture, greeted the approximately 200 guests at the reception.
