On
November 27, UNICEF held their
2007 Snowflake Ball at Cipriani 42nd Street. Guests
enjoyed cocktails, an elegant dinner and live
auction while celebrating those who have made
key contributions to UNICEF's mission to save
and improve children's lives worldwide. During
the ceremony, UNICEF presented the Audrey Hepburn
Humanitarian Award to The Pantaleoni
Family, including actress, UNICEF
ambassador and U.S. Fund for UNICEF board member Téa
Leoni who represents the third generation
of her family working to help children around
the world, and her father Tony Pantaleoni who
is a fellow board member. UNICEF also
presented the inaugural Helenka Pantaleoni
Award to former U.S. Fund for UNICEF President Charles J.
Lyons. The event raised over
$2 million for UNICEF and was hosted by Bryant
Gumbel. Snowflake Project Chairs were Pamela
Fiori and Charlotte Moss. Gala
Chairs were Hilary Gumbeland Amy
Robbins. Gala Junior Chairs
were Barbara Bush and Maggie
Betts.
