On Thursday, November 17, 2011, East Side House Settlement and Wally Findlay Galleries hosted a kick-off party for the Young Collectors Night at the Winter Antiques Show. Over 100 guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the gallery to honor and thank the Young Collectors Night Vice Chairs and Benefit Committee. Guests were welcomed by Co-Chairs Stephanie Clark, Courtney Booth, and Executive Director of East Side House Settlement, John Sanchez. This year’s YCN Vice Chairs include Melissa D. Berkelhammer, Roric Tobin & Justin Concannon, Cristin & Britt deVeer, Clay Floren, Ashley & Charlie Fox, Dawne Marie Grannum, Kate Horvitz, Taylor S. Hurt, Claire & David Maxwell, Elizabeth Meigher, Anika Yael Natori, Elise O'Connell, Allyson and Chris Pachios, Marlies Verhoeven Reijtenbagh & Jacco Reijtenbagh, Marie Rentschler, Georgina Schaeffer, Lacary Sharpe, and Alexandra Buckley Voris.
Young Collectors Night at the Winter Antiques Show will take place on Thursday, January 26, 2012, at the Park Avenue Armory. The evening offers a private viewing of America’s most prestigious antique show and attracts over 650 guests including young philanthropists, art enthusiasts, collectors, and interior designers. This year’s Interior Design Committee is chaired by New York magazine’s Design Editor Wendy Goodman and includes 70 of the countries most high profile interior designers.
Proceeds from the evening benefit East Side House Settlement, a leading social service agency that serves the South Bronx and surrounding communities. The focus of the East Side House Settlement is education and technology training as gateways out of poverty. Programs include early childhood, after-school programs, Mott Haven Village Preparatory High School, Bronx Haven High School, adult education, computer technology programs and family services.
