The
Plumm co-owners Chris Noth,
who plays Mr. Big on Sex in the City and
Detective Mike Logan on Law & Order:
Criminal Intent, and Noel Ashman hosted
a benefit for Rainforest Action Network (RAN)
at their New York City hotspot on November 10th.
Kristin Davis of Sex in the
City, Patricia Clarkson of Six
Feet Under and Richard Belzer and Dann
Florek of Law & Order: SVU also
attended, as did designer Luca Missoni’s
daughter Jennifer, who has guest starred on Law & Order.
The evening’s auction contributed to RAN’s
raising more than $47K during the evening. Noth’s Law & Order co-star Alicia
Witt, along with singer-songwriter Jimmy
Webb, entertained the crowd with piano
music.
RAN works to protect the Earth’s forests
and support the rights of their inhabitants through
education, grassroots organizing and non-violent
direct action. RAN accomplishes its mission through
dynamic, hard-hitting corporate campaigns that
strive to bring company policies into alignment
with popular support for conservation. RAN works
in alliance with environmental and human rights
groups around the world, including indigenous
communities and non-governmental organizations.
