As
we commence publication of Panache
magazine, we invite you to join us in this
exciting adventure. Panache
is for those who demand the best and, forour
debut issue, we've profiled people whose
talent and discriminating style and taste
have made them leaders in their fields. We've
also assembled information on the area's
top events of the season.
Lisl Steiner, artist, photographer and Caramoor's
longtime chronicler-in-residence, recalls
her adventures with Louis Armstrong, political
figures including Richard Nixon, and the literati
in “An Improvised Life.”
“Simply Sensational” couture designer
Amsale Aberra – whose name has become
synonymous with understated modern classic
elegance – has come a long way since
she learned to sew from Simplicity Patterns.
The Concours d'Elegance, Greenwich's
display of “Boldface Names, Boldface
Cars” – and vintage boats, motorcycles
and aeroplanes – is set for the first
weekend in June.
On Sunday, June 6, the Greenwich Polo Club,
known as much for its social scene as its
“Power Play,” is the place to
be as Polo for Children, Paul Newman's
Hole in the Wall Gang charity event, kicks
off the season.
It's “Showtime” for the
Southport-Westport Antiques Show, which has
been spruced up for its 40th birthday. Guests
are in for a super party on Thursday, June
17.
But the good news doesn't end there:
We've amassed a plethora of fashion,
home, travel and lifestyle selections to help
you indulge in – and enjoy – the
good life.
Panache is off to
a great start with our marketing partners,
